A study on the segmentation according to the perceived risks for overseas work on overseas expansion of medical institutions

Abstract
With the globalization of health care industry, efforts are being made to create the worldwide values of the Korean health care industry and to promote the creation of the new growth employment related to the industry`s overseas expansion. In this regard, this paper aimed to identify the perceived risks of overseas work. To meet this purpose, a survey was conducted targeting the medical personnel, health and medical service personnel, and administration staff of S Hospital which is actively engaged in its overseas expansion project. The collected data went through a coding process was made of them by using the SPSS 23.0 to verify the market segmentation research of the perceived risks for overseas work. As a result of the empirical analysis, they are classed as three groups, Time efficiency focus group, Physical safety focus group, Business performance focus group. And It`s a significant difference compared to three groups. In this regard, it can be said that the results of this study provide a practical and important implication to expanding health care services to overseas markets for promoting the globalization of the health wellness industry; for it was performed targeting the medical personnel, health and medical service personnel, and administration staff who can actually be dispatched to overseas work and identified the differentiation through market segmentation about perceived risks.
